Our Spring 2024 show will feature three thrilling tales of adventure, The Most Dangerous Game, an original adaptation of Richard Connell's classic short story, the first episode of a new fantasy-adventure pastiche Townies and Dragons: Barrel Full of Peril, and the pirate adventure The Bonnie Tales of Captain Bellamy: Song of Trickery.
These three plays will be presented on stage in the style of old-time radio with actors at microphones and sound effects performed live by our talented Foley artists!
The Most Dangerous Game
In Jaimie Carlson’s original radio-drama adaptation of the 1924 short story by Richard Connell, a big-game hunter washes ashore on a mysterious island and winds up in another hunt — but this time as prey! “The Most Dangerous Game” will be directed by Jonathan Mendoza and Jaimie Carlson.
Townies and Dragons: Barrel Full of Peril
In a land of high fantasy, four friends just want to get some drinks after work. But in a world of might and magic, adventure can happen at any time! Written and directed by Micahel McAfee, this is the first episode in an original series.
The Bonnie Tales of Captain Bellamy: Song of Trickery
Navigating the waves of life, love, and adventure, Bonnie Captain Bonny Bellamy and her dastardly crew on the Seawitch are the terror of the seas, but a danger to themselves! In this premiere episode, Captain Bellamy learns she has slipped in the bounty rankings, so she decides to go after the rich bounty already claimed by her rival Captain Black Jack Malone. Can she deceive the notorious Black Jack? Robert J LeBlanc’s audio drama “The Bonnie Tales of Captain Bellamy: Song of Trickery” was first performed in 2022 in Portland, Maine, as part of Balderdash Academy’s On the Air! series.
