Sherlock Holmes

Shows we’ve performed featuring that most famous of fictional detectives, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. Most of these scripts were adapted by PMRP’s Jeremy Holstein.

Watch City Steampunk Festival on, but HVAC problems have cancelled our performance

Cancelled: Sadly, due to HVAC problems at the Waltham Public Library, all events there have had to be cancelled this weekend, and we can no longer perform “The Final Problem” on Saturday, May 13th, as planned. However, the rest of Watch City Steampunk Festival is still happening, and PMRP very much encourages you still to attend. I have it on good authority that Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, both of whom are good friends of PMRP, will be perambulating the festival, and as the Festival is a free event, they will be waiving their usual fee, should you have any mysteries that need investigation.

Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans at Boskone 59

On Saturday, February 19, PMRP will be presenting Sherlock Holmes in “Sherlock Holmes in the Adventure of the Bruce Partington Plans” at Boskone 59. A Boskone membership is needed to attend or view the performance, which will be presented in person in the hotel (in the Harbor I room) and streamed over Boskone’s streaming service for virtual con attendees.

In this performance, Sherlock's brother Mycroft hires Holmes and Watson to investigate a crime that threatens the security both of the crown and of England!

Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans

The Post-Meridian Radio Players are proud to present The Summer of Mystery! Three free Zoom performances, the last weekends in June, July and August!

In July we have The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans, one of only two adventures to feature Sherlock’s older, smarter brother Mycroft. Holmes and Watson investigate the theft of the plans of England’s greatest naval weapon, the Bruce-Partington submarine! The fate of England itself hangs in the balance!

You can find these upcoming live performances here on YouTube or you can find them through PMRP's YouTube channel.

Arisia ’19: Enterprise Incident & Final Problem

The Post-Meridian Radio Players will have two performances at the 2019 Arisia science-fiction convention. We will continue our tradition of presenting gender-swapped Star Trek episodes, this time performing “The Enterprise Incident”. In addition we will perform a reprise of our original adaptation of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in “The Final Problem”.

More details will be provided shortly.

The performances will be at time slots to be determined during Arisia, which is the weekend of January 18-21, 2019. (A convention membership or day pass is required. If you can’t attend at the con, watch for our reprise of “The Enterprise Incident” in the spring!)

Moriarty’s Mysteries: Three Mysterious Tales hosted by the Napoleon of Crime

Performances: July 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28, 2018
(8pm performances on all dates, plus a 2pm matinée on Saturday the 21st)
Thursday the 26th is a pay-what-you-can performance.

The Post-Meridian Radio Players are proud to present our 2018 Summer Mystery show, Moriarty’s Mysteries. Our line up this year will be as follows:

Vera Wolfe in “The Boy Who Cried Wolfe.” A recreation of a 1950 Nero Wolfe radio broadcast, presented as originally broadcast but with all pronouns swapped. Vera Wolfe and Audrey Goodwin are visited by an homme fatale who is convinced that his boss is in danger. Directed by Jess Viator.
